Anti-trans activist made a calendar so TERFs can hate trans women all year long

A British anti-transgender activist is selling a viciously transphobic 2024 calendar featuring images of notable trans women. It’s title: “He’s a Man!!” Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull, also known as Posie Parker, is the founder of the anti-trans group Standing for Women. She’s credited with popularizing the slogan “adult human female” to define womanhood after she used her Posie Parker pseudonym to create an anti-trans billboard featuring the phrase in Liverpool in 2018. She also runs the Adult Human Female online store, where she sells apparel, accessories, homeware, and even Christmas merchandise featuring anti-trans slogans. Trans inmate sues prison for causing her “severe” distress by withholding gender-affirming care

A transgender woman who has been incarcerated in a men’s prison in Georgia has filed a lawsuit against the state’s Department of Corrections (GDC) along with two of its for-profit medical contractors for denying her gender-affirming care. The complaint , filed on December 6 and identifying the woman as “Jane Doe,” alleges that the GDC has refused to treat “her severe and overwhelming gender dysphoria.” Citing the department’s “blanket ban” on gender-affirming surgery, the complaint says the lack of access to this care led Doe to continue to “suffer catastrophic gender dysphoria symptoms.” Related: Judge threatens to punish men’s prison for “humiliating” cavity search of trans female inmate “We are not sending people into prison to be further abused,” the judge said. “Does somebody have any common sense?” According to the lawsuit, the 55-year-old Doe has identified as a woman since early childhood and began living publicly as a woman around 1988. Today’s social justice warriors stand on the shoulders of boomers

Image
Each time I hear someone from the past couple of generations blame or simply dismiss (with deep conviction) members of my generation, the so-called “boomers,” for causing the evils and great divides separating people by race, socioeconomic class, gender, sexuality, and other social identities, I want to shout for them to please read and truly understand history. From where did the driving force and passion come within the Black Panther Party, the Young Lords, the American Indian movement, the Congress of Racial Equality, second-wave feminists, the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee, the Farmworkers Movement, the Free Speech movement, the Peace Movement, Students for a Democratic Society, the Gay Liberation and Gay Activists Alliance, Trans Liberation, Radical Lesbians, the Disability Rights Movement, AIDS Activists, the Patients’ Rights Movement, the Environmental Movement and the organizers of Earth Day, the Anti-Nuke and Anti-Fossil Fuel Movements, and so many others?
