Pete Buttigieg eviscerates Marco Rubio’s snide comments about marriage equality

Marco Rubio's (R-FL) claim that the bill was a "stupid waste of time." "If [Rubio's] got time to fight against Disney, I don't know why he wouldn't have time to help safeguard marriages like mine. Look, this is really, really important to a lot of people. It's certainly important to me," Buttigieg said on CNN's State of the Union this weekend. Buttigieg went on to talk about his weekend, saying that he "tried to give [his husband] Chasten a little bit of a break" by feeding their twin babies at breakfast "That's no small thing, as every parent of small kids knows," he joked, adding that it wasn't particularly easy that morning. "That half-hour of my morning had me thinking about how much I depend on and count on my spouse every day, and our marriage deserves to be treated equally," he said. "I don't' know why this would be hard," he added, referring to the RMA vote. "I just don't understand how such a majority of House Republicans voted 'no' on our marriage as recently as Tuesday," he continued, "hours after I was in a room with a lot of them talking about transportation policy, having what I thought were perfectly normal conversations with many of them on that subject, only for them to go around the corner and say that my marriage doesn't deserve to continue." Hodges, the 2015 decision that legalized marriage equality in all 50 states.

Census Bureau will start testing new LGBTQ+ questions on its yearly survey

The U.S. Census Bureau, after nearly a year of pushing the Biden administration, will begin testing questions pertaining to LGBTQ+ identity on its American Community Survey (ACS). These questions would ask people about their sexual orientation and gender identity. The Bureau put out a Federal Register notice signifying that this is the last chance for the public to give comment on all pending ACS questions, including those pertaining to LGBTQ+ individuals. The deadline given for comment is May 30, with an online form provided for any feedback on these questions. The wording for these questions can be found on the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs website . After the Bureau’s deadline, it will be submitting the questions to the Office of Management and Budget, where they will await approval for testing in the summer. Conservative Christians enraged at Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade for being a trans “extravaganza”

The anti-LGBTQ+ organization One Million Moms (OMM) is morally scandalized over the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.   In an alarmist petition , OMM — an offshoot of the anti-LGBTQ+ American Family Association — warned that the parade will be a “non-binary and transgender extravaganza” that will “expose tens of millions of viewers at home to the liberal LGBTQ agenda” because this year’s parade will include music from two Broadway musicals, & Juliet and Shucked , which both feature trans and nonbinary performers in major roles.
