Lauren Boebert rails about “Biden Crime Family” just before her son is arrested for crime spree

Anti-LGBTQ+ extremist Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), like many other Republicans, is loudly accusing President Joe Biden of running the “Biden Crime Family” as a way to tie him to his son Hunter Biden’s misdeeds, despite the lack of evidence of any connection.

But a recent social media post from Boebert about Biden that was posted just hours before her own son’s arrest for allegedly going on a crime spree in Colorado is drawing attention online. Both Boebert and her ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, have been arrested multiple times in the past.

“The Biden Crime Family will go down as the most corrupt political family in American history,” she posted to X yesterday afternoon.

Just after she posted, the media began to report on her 18-year-old son Tyler Boebert’s arrest for going on a crime spree that allegedly included stealing cars and other property. He is facing 22 charges, including five felony counts, according to a Facebook update from the Rifle, Colorado, Police Department posted yesterday.

This is the same son who made Boebert a grandmother when he was 17 years old.

Boebert has a criminal past of her own. In 2010, her neighbors called the police on her for allowing her pit bulls to attack their dog. She was issued a ticket for dog code violations. She continued to harass the neighbors, according to them. She was issued a summons but never charged with harassment. She pled guilty to the dog code violation and paid a $75 fine.

She was handcuffed and detained in 2015 for shouting about people who were arrested for underage drinking at a music festival. According to deputies, she “encouraged people arrested for underage drinking to break free and repeatedly said she had ‘friends at Fox News’ who would report on her subsequent ‘illegal arrest.'” She was cited for disorderly conduct and failed to appear in court twice before the charge was dismissed.

In 2016, she was cited for careless driving and operating an unsafe vehicle, and then she failed to appear in court on these charges, which resulted in her arrest in 2017. She pled guilty to the charges.

Her ex-husband – and Tyler’s father – Jayson Boebert was famously arrested in 2004 for exposing his genitals in a bowling alley where minors were present. Rep. Boebert, who was 17 and not married to him at the time, was one of the witnesses in that case. He got four days in jail and two years probation for lewd exposure and public indecency.

Later that same year, Jayson Boebert was booked on a domestic violence charge where Rep. Boebert was the victim. County records say he “did unlawfully strike, shove or kick … and subjected her to physical contact.” He spent seven days in jail on that charge.

Several months later, Rep. Boebert allegedly scratched Jayson Boebert’s face and chest and damaged his property. She faced third-degree assault, criminal mischief, and underage drinking charges. The Garfield County Combined Court can’t reveal any information about how that case was resolved, but she did get married to Jayson Boebert in 2005 when she was a legal adult.

Hunter Biden, who has discussed his history of substance abuse, has been under federal investigation for tax crimes since 2018. Last year, he pled not guilty to misdemeanor charges connected to allegedly filing his tax returns late for two years. In a separate investigation in Delaware, he has been indicted on three firearms charges, and he faces nine counts related to tax evasion in another investigation in California.

Despite years of investigations by Congressional Republicans, no evidence that President Biden helped his son commit these alleged crimes has been found.
